Resolution

It's not too late for "New Year's" Resolutions, is it?
The new one, and I'm documenting it in order to hold myself accountable: I will STOP setting things on the counter for later, with very few exceptions like the mail that will go out tonight on Javvy's walk etc. My "island" counter will NOT be a "catchall". Neither will my coffee table or my dining room table..or any other place things don't "belong". We're starting with the coutner.
This one is also new, but goes with the prevoius. I will put things back in their home and not create piles when sorting through mail etc. I will toss more of that stuff as it comes along too.

Old ones, that I had at new years, but did not document include:

Being better about staying in contact/communication with my long distant friends/relatives. So far I've done pretty well with this...it is only February though so hopefully I continue to stay on top of things.

I will actually USE this blog. Again, I think I'm doing okay with that so far.

I will continue to make at least one new recipe per week... Especially with the help of Pinterest, this should go pretty well.

I will finish the projects I start.

I will stop biting my nails. September was a trial run. And I did really well for a little while, but obviously eventually fell of the wagon. 2012 I will stop, for good. In fact, we're starting that right now, March 5th is mt first goal-It takes 21 days to create a habit.

Those are all of the resolutions I can think of off the top of my head for this year. I will update if more occur to me....and with this awful pregnancy brain, I'm sure they will! Now later tonight, I can, hopefully, get caught up on my daily picture posts.

10AM, Dinner, and life at home

10 AM- for those who don't know me there are a couple things you should in order to truly appreciate this picture.
1. I'm the exact opposite of a morning person. I'm a night person. 10 am is a time I see quite regularly, but it almost always involves pajamas and coffee (or tea). And/or slothlike movement. I like to ease into my day. I'm sure this will change once baby joins us.
2. I'm notoriously not on time. Like ever. IDK how I manage it, even when I'm trying really hard I run late. Thus the time actually reads 1022..it was close. I actually purposely waited for 1022 though because 1022 is a time that seems to always get noticed both AM and PM in our household.
Dinner-this is what we ate for dinner tonight. It's a new recipe for chicken pot pie I found. It turned out pretty tasty. and actually not too bad looking. I cheated on the pastry topper-it's just crescent rolls.
Lastly, this is JMan again. He's not very happy because it looks like an army surplus store threw up in my living room. This actually isn't that bad as far as army vomit goes, but it's the first time JMan has experienced it. He's pretty sure he's not liking it one bit-and he's right. He's going to miss "Dad" while he's gone.
Not only that, this is what the time frame generally looks like:
B will go to the field until it's time for me to have Ramzy.
While B is in the field, we may have a couple visitors. He doesn't mind visitors, but it will be another change in the normal routine which I don't think he'll like.
I will go into labor, B will come home, we will definitely have at least one visitor, my doula, if she's not here already.
We will leave for the hospital.
We will come back with a new guy.
Life will never be the same again (in a good way), but it will take quite a bit of adjusting for the JMan, and actually for the Catador too. (And mom and dad)

I can't believe we're already this close to having a baby. My doctor seems to think there's a good chance that there's a baby in next week's forecast! I can't believe we're already this close to having Ramzy with us. It's not that I feel unprepared, because I truly feel like we're ready whenever he is. It just seems like the past several weeks flew by! We've been knocking of things from the "last time before baby comes" list like crazy! For instance, this was our last weekend together, last doctor's appointment together, last trip to ihop/cold stone together etc, without baby.

And this truly is the last thing, because it needs to be documented somewhere:
B and I went to the commissary tonight. We had the week's groceries and a few extra things such as dog food to buy. Pedigree had an offer for a free bag of dog food and four free cans of wet dog food if you adopted a dog in 2011. We sent off for the coupons and somehow ended up with  two sets. We went ahead and bought two 30lb bags of food and 8 cans of wet food retailing 45.90. With the coupons they were free. So we go to the checkout line-there's literally no wait, we go through the checkout process, hand the cashier our coupons, and the register ends up flipping out over the coupons wanting manager overrides etc which is relatively understandable. I'm pretty sure we stopped traffic flow which resulted in a super long line, a committee of 2-3 managers at our register, and the computer shutting down while we're trying to figure it out. So they have to reboot that register and send us to another line. Luckily in that line it went pretty quickly. The original cashier and our bagger both said they'd never seen anything like that happen before with the register. B says I"m 100% responsible.

Hands

 Hand Family.
While these aren't hand-hands they are clothes for hands.  In the shape of hands. The black gloves on the left are Bs or "Dad's", mine are the red one's ("Mom's) and of course the ones in the center are Baby's. Can't wait for us to meet the new guy and be a family of three.
I feel it is apparent that J-Man will star in a lot of pictures. I've had to refrain from using him in some other photo ideas already (some of them were ideas for future photo days). He will sit by either one of us when we're at the computer (or anywhere really) and we will both pet him while we are computer-ing or watching tv, reading etc. He was very happy for B to show him some love and I took the oppurtunity to get Bs hand.

Words

This was my first attempt at the super awesome book for "words". I actually really wish I could have found the quote book or been in my Twins "quote room" for this project. It would be have been closer to what I wanted. I also wanted the Catador to be "reading" this book...he clearly had other ideas.
This is what I'm considering my actual challenge photo. Extra points to anyone who guesses which book this is. There was no particular significance of this book over most others. It was just the first "good book" I saw on the shelf.
The other three were taken with my phone, which defeats the reason why I took part in the challenge anyways. But I really loved this "Family". I just had to capture it. It turned out so much better than I imagined it would. It's possible that I should have chosen it for my challenge pic. But again, main purpose, for me, was to practice with the "big camera"
I couldn't resist. I am a little emotional these days. But I think that's to be expected.
Finally, the last one, again this is more about the words than the image. It was my fortune cookie last night. I think it refers to my son in one way or another. He will have an ocean nursery after all. I'm hoping it means there's a cruise in my near future though! We'll see!

My View Today

This month, I will be doing a photo challenge. Each day I will take a picture, ideally with the "big camera", that fits the theme of the day. I will post the picture I choose, along with any runner ups I happen to capture to my facebook, and on here. I will complete the entire month, but due to the whole giving birth to the guy currently taking up residence in my uterus, I may not do all of them on the day I'm "supposed" too. I can't wait to see how different the pictures are I take are from the ones my friends are taking of the "same" things.

The first one was "My View Today"
Honestly, I barely left the house. And that was really only because Miss Jessica, who is also doing this photo challenge, invited me to the park with her son. Javvy and I were happy to go. I used that oppurtunity to get in my view of the day. The image I came up with was the J-Man digging in a hole.
